Active Older Adults Centers
Fluvanna County's Senior Programs provide a variety of activities, for those 55 and over. Activities include charitable projects, exercise games, games with prizes, trips, guest speakers, and community forums. Monthly calendars are posted on the County website and on the Fluvanna Parks and Recreation Facebook page. All programs are free, unless otherwise indicated. We are actively seeking new members and volunteers are welcome. One-time visits are welcomed as well.

Closures: These activity centers will close in the event of inclement weather when Fluvanna County Schools are closed and on state holidays.
Membership: There is no cost to be a member. You must be at least 55 years old, complete registration at your first meeting, and attend regularly (2 out of 3 meetings), to be considered a member.
Center Days: When we are not on a trip, we are open; 10am-2pm. Visitors and volunteers are welcome. We socialize, exercise, play games, do crafts, plan trips, etc. You can visit as your schedule allows. However, if you’d like to have a meal provided by Fluvanna County Parks and Recreation while you’re there, you must sign up with Faith Stuart at least one day in advance.
Each facility has a refrigerator, if you’d like to bring your own beverage/snacks/lunch.
SENIOR RESOURCES: Being a member means you will be alerted regarding services offered to seniors by any of our community partners.
TRIPS: Center Trips are planned for, and catered to, the membership of each center. FCPR offsets costs of trips for our members. What each Member will pay is decided on, at least two weeks in advance of the trip, and can be paid to FCPR, up to the morning of the trip.
LARGER TRIPS: Being a member, includes you in the larger group of all four centers. This means you will be invited to attend FCPR’s larger events and trips.
